  In the summer of 850, the demon cat appeared and broke the peace of Chang'an City. At that time, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang mysteriously died from a strange disease. In such a chaotic situation, Poet Bai Letian and Kukai - a Japanese monk - started to investigate the death of the Emperor and unveil the truth about the demon cat.
