Historical revisionists, seeking to change the course of history, have begun their offensive on the past. The opposing government of the times has dispatched a Saniwaback to the past to protect history.

The Saniwa, being able to sense spiritual energy, bring out the "ToukenDanshi," who are tsukumogamispirits residing within swords. Together withthese “ToukenDanshi”, the Saniwadedicate themselves to fighting to protect the course of history.

At thecitadel, SayoSamonji seems depressed. Hissecretary, YamanbagiriKunihiro tries to draw out the reason behind his depression, but Sayo starts to avoid him.At the same time, Ookurikara and Kasen Kanesada are sent on an investigation to the year 1747 but have a falling out.ShokudaikiriMitsutada andTsurumaruKuninaga, who were swords from the same former Date family as Ookurikara,along witha newcitadel membercalled TaikoganeSadamune ponder over how to bring the two back together.
