SIAN (Phakhin "Tono" Khamwilaisak), an incredible handsome northeastern man, loves his hometown and never feel an urge to go anywhere. He also loves his girlfriend, SOM (Busarakum "M" Vongkumlao), who will soon return from Bangkok. He wants to live and raise a family with her for the rest of his life.
In his hometown, SIAN helps his mother makes northeastern dish called “Som-Pak-Sian” and runs small business after his father died. His mother has raised SIAN from early age until graduated from university. As for PAK (Rungrat “Kaimook” Mengpanit), an underclass woman from his university, fell in love with SIAN while he was in his senior year. SAIN often helped with her study. In return, PAK helped SIAN in many ways, such as, making pickled “Som-Pak-Sian”, tidying the house. She would do these things thoroughly. Even so, SIAN still had no idea that PAK was in love with him.
Because of time and distance, SIAN's dream crumbles when SOM came back to her hometown with her new boyfriend, JAKAPAN (Korawat "Golf" Suvaratananon), and immediately announce their intention for wedding. SIAN became confused, depressed, and desperate. He tries to find the answer from SOM along with the help from BANJONG (Christopher Jonathan Roy Chaafe), his very close friend in the village who always drunk.
But, with how clumsy BANJONG was, he instead made trouble to the villagers which also included his girlfriend, SAIJAI (Phakaporn "Wow" Lertchamchongkul). When this chaotic situation reached the ears of PHRA MAHA CHAI (Phetthai "Mum" Vongkhamlao), who has become an iconic of belief for villagers, he came out and solved the problem with Buddhist ethics.
With unique Thai / E-San dialect, this love-comedy story will be unfold. "Som Pak Sian" is Thai blockbuster that will make everyone in the country smile, laugh, and be happy! 31st August 2017, in theaters.
