Synopsis

Based on the 1839 novel "Confessions of a Thug" by Philip Meadows Taylor, the movie is set in 1795 and follows a gang of thugs who aspire to free Hindostan from the British Empire. A small-time thug is then sent by British commander John Clive to infiltrate the gang and counter their threat.

This feels like the Bollywood version of Pirates of the Caribbean. Nicely choreographed action scenes.

Decent CGI efforts

Aamir Khan borrows the Jack Sparrow eyeliner. Amitabh Bachchan delivers a powerful performance and towers above all. Cinematography is stunning. Action sequences are well executed.
