Tammy (Melissa McCarthy) is experiencing one of those days she wishes she could just drive away from it all, but not only has she just found her husband cheating with the neighbour, she’s also been fired from her crummy job at a local burger joint and her car’s been totaled! Her only recourse is to borrow grandma Pearl’s (Susan Sarandon) car, but grandma not only has a hankering to see Niagara Falls, she’s got the cash to splash as well, and Tammy and Pearl end up on a road trip that tethers from one misadventure to another.
