Synopsis

Rani Padmavati (aka Padmini), a legendary Hindu Rajput queen, is said to be one of the most beautiful women to ever exist. She is married to a noble king, Rana Rawal Ratan Singh, the Rajput ruler of Mewar, and both of them live in a prosperous fortress with their subjects. Their perfect life takes an unfortunate turn when an ambitious Sultan, Allauddin Khilji, hears of Padmavati`s beauty and forms an obsessive love for her. Alauddin Khilji is one of the most brutal rulers in Khilji dynasti, known for attacking states only for their land and women, and his invasion into Mewar is no different.
