A24 has dropped the first trailer for Hereditary, a twisted horror drama that has already been touted as pants-wettingly terrifying. The film premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival earlier this month to unanimous praise, and the much buzzed-about fright feature currently has an 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Hereditary follows the Graham family in a state of unrest following the death of their reclusive grandmother. Even after she's gone, the matriarch still casts a dark shadow over the family, especially her loner teenage granddaughter whom she always had an unusual fascination with. As an overwhelming terror takes over their household, their peaceful existence is ripped apart, forcing their mother to explore a darker realm in order to escape the unfortunate fate they've inherited.

Directed by Ari Aster in his directorial debut, the film stars Toni Collette (xXx: Return of Xander Cage), Alex Wolff (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Gabriel Bryne and Milly Shapiro.
