In case you’ve been living in the Quantum Realm, the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War finally arrived yesterday, giving us our first full glimpse of what will be the biggest superhero movie in history.

The culmination of everything that has transpired in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (so far) has left us with 144 seconds worth of pure joy, but it also raises a bunch of questions to ponder.

Where’s Hawkeye and Ant-Man?

One of the most glaring omissions from the trailer is Hawkeye aka Clint Barton. We know that the sharpshooter has a family, but the events of Captain America: Civil War managed to bring him out of his self-imposed retirement. Has he finally hung up his bow and arrow for good? Or has something more sinister happened to our earnest archer?

Speaking of MIA, one of the Avengers’ newest and smallest members – Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, is also nowhere to be seen. Or maybe, he is in fact, in the trailer all along and is just too tiny to make out. Let’s enhance!

What happens to Vision?

Vision is powered by an Infinity Stone, so assuming Thanos does eventually complete the Infinity Gauntlet, we could be bidding farewell to our dear android. A scene from the trailer does show him pinned down and what looks like something trying to rip the Mind Stone off his forehead.

Why are they fighting in Wakanda?

The huge action set piece that takes place in Wakanda, the homeland of Black Panther, looks set to be one of the most significant battles in Avengers: Infinity War. But what is of so much importance that requires the combined powers of Captain America, Hulk, Winter Soldier and Black Widow to defend it?

A theory does postulate that the last Infinity Stone, the Soul Stone, is residing in Wakanda. Perhaps, all will be revealed in the Black Panther solo movie.

Is Loki friend or foe?

In the trailer, a recently reformed Loki is seen walking over the corpses of what appear to be Asgardians to offer the Tesseract to somebody. If you can recall the first Avengers movie, Loki made a deal with Thanos to retrieve it in exchange for an army with which he can subjugate Earth.

So, does this reveal that Loki is going to be a bad guy again? Or is he doing it just to save his people?

Will Captain Marvel appear?

Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel is not slated to appear in Avengers: Infinity War, but that still leaves the door open for a surprise cameo or a set-up moment for her solo film. Marvel CEO Kevin Feige has already revealed that she will be the most powerful Marvel superhero so far, and if the Avengers are going to take down the being known as “The Mad Titan,” they’re going to need her.
