Universal Pictures has released the final trailer for Pacific Rim: Uprising, a sequel to the popular 2013 sci-fi monster movie by Guillermo del Toro.

The film is set 10 years after the events of the first and follows Jake Pentecost, son of the legendary Jaeger pilot Stacker Pentecost, who reunites with Mako Mori to lead a new generation of Jaeger pilots against a new Kaiju threat. 

Directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Marvel's Daredevil), who makes his feature film directorial debut, Pacific Rim: Uprising stars John Boyega (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) as Jake, Scott Eastwood (The Fate of the Furious) as rival Nate, Jing Tian (Kong: Skull Island) and newcomer Cailee Spaeny, with Rinko Kikuchi and Charlie Day reprising their roles as Mako Mori and Dr. Newt Geiszler respectively.
