Synopsis

Two young girls, 10-year-old Satsuki and her 4-year-old sister Mei, move into a house in the country with their father to be closer to their hospitalized mother. Satsuki and Mei discover that the nearby forest is inhabited by magical creatures called Totoros (pronounced toe-toe-ro). They soon befriend these Totoros, and have several magical adventures.

This flim is super cute . Everything about is cute. Really special and unique characters in this movie . Overall a good storyline very interesting and something different.

Miyazaki’s Masterpiece

My Neighbour Totoro just manages to capture the childlike imagination and adventurous spirit that we all once had. The film manages to tell a heartwarming story with warm characters such as the two sisters and the father. Totoro, of course has become a cultural phenomenon just with how cute and how he embodies what a free spirit is. I think that the setting of the film is perfect as well. It wouldn’t have work if the setting wasn’t set it a rural town but instead a busy, bustling cosmopolitan city. It is only with the peaceful and tranquil town that the free spirit and the adventurous soul of youth can leap out. There’s no way about it. This is a Studio Ghibli Classic. It is a Must-Watch.
