Liu Ye is a man in his 50s who used to be a famous street gangster called Lao Pao Er. He has reigned as the neighbourhood kingpin over the streets in Beijing for many years. When his mischievous son Xiao Bo causes troubles with a young drag-racing street gang leader, he steps in to defend his son. He then discovers that the young leader has taken his place, and the younger generation of gang members already has no respect for him.
