Synopsis

‘Kavan’ is the Tamil word for ‘catapult’, one of the foremost weapons used by early man for hunting. Youth, love and media run the world today and in the backdrop of cutthroat competition, where anyone is willing to do anything for success, an underdog appears and turns the table on the high and mighty. The hunter becomes the hunted, but it is not quite as simple as that. Media is both the strength and weakness of every individual. Few youngsters with a dream of making a difference in the media find themselves employed by a channel. One among them is the protagonist Thilak. After a furious debate with the channel management on its manipulations, Thilak, Malar and a few other friends quit. They end up being blacklisted by the channel. Being unable to work in any channel, there arises a relationship of trust and affection between them. And how they succeed in their mission of truth is rest of the film.
