Synopsis

Set in Hiroshima during World War II, an eighteen-year-old girl gets married and now has to prepare food for her family despite the rationing and lack of supplies. As she struggles with the daily loss of life's amenities she still has to maintain the will to live.

The so Japanese war movie

I love a good war movie. Japanese who are so used to be prepared for disasters and wars, can recover very quickly and move on with life, no matter how bad the conditions can be.. An insight into the rural life of the Japanese with the beauty of the animations.
