Gruesome and bloody. Great special effects and just a whole lot of fun. Gothic-inspired cinematography to the brilliant costume work and make-up effects for the different character designs are great.
I assume this was a super hero kind of movie suitable for kids. So dead wrong, I would never recommend you bringing your kids unless you have intention to scar them for life. Too much gore, many hody parts flying everywhere. More like Jennifer's body but the pure horror kind.
I was looking forward to this. More so than “endgame” but for some reason I was kind of disappointed. The show is kind of choppy/disjointed...then again, it’s a very digestible(yup.. simple in every sense) movie.
Pg13 version was pretty painful to watch without the violence. The movie had much potential but is a pity to have dialogues fill the void of the violent scenes.
Incoherent Plot with overstuffed Gore and Creatures - Disappointed
I am a huge fan of Hellboy: The Golden Army (starring Ron Perlman), so I had high expectations for this. Turns out this movie is absurd. Too many set pieces making audiences confused; and tried to introduce too many creatures in one film. This movie is rated M18; but filmmakers are too excessive in terms of exposing blood and gore; the gore was fresh at the start but it reaches a point that the gore becomes excessive and bore. All I can say is - the Critics are right this time. As it stands, this movie is currently having 9% on Rottentomatoes - one of the worst reviewed movies this year. If you are a hellboy fan, go ahead and get your tickets. But if you are a casual audience who wants some entertainment, you can skip this movie.
