Synopsis

A remake of the 1981 film by Sam Raimi, about five college students, while vacationing in an isolated cabin in a wooded area, find an audiotape, which contains incantations from The Book of the Dead spoken by a scientist, unwittingly resurrecting malevolent demons and spirits. Now it is up to Ashley "Ash" J. Williams, to deal with the "deadites" and save his friends.

Brutal and creepy
Overall: 4
Ferociously original horror film. Blood seeping from numerous crevices and openings in the walls, zaps over a few scares. Only one is left intact to fight for survival.
