12 years before the main story begins, five close friends who grew up in the same orphanage plan an armed robbery at a local gold store. The five friends are Ah Tak (leader), Gang Gou (Ah Tak`s brother), Goh Wong, Ah Cai and Wah Zai. While robbing the store, they are unluckily discovered and start to exchange shots with the cops. During the chaos, a pregnant woman is accidently shot by a stray bullet. Filled with regret, Ah Tak puts down his gun and surrenders himself. Though shocked by his action, the rest of the members surrender as well, except for Wah Zai who is the driver of the robbery plan and has escaped on his own. 12 years later, Ah Tak and the rest are released from prison and they find out that Wah Zai has become a rich businessman thanks to the gold that they stole back then. The team now plans to take revenge on Wah Zai.
