Synopsis

The film tells the true story of an infamous American convicted murderer and former organised crime figure James "Whitey" Bulger, who becomes the godfather of an Irish mob. John Connolly is Bulger`s long-time friend who grew up together with him, and now he is a major figure in the FBI`s Boston office. To take down an Italian Mafia family, Bulger works with Connolly and becomes an FBI informant, but things get out of control when murders, drugs and racketeering indictments get involved in the process which leads to Bulger becoming one of FBI`s most wanted criminals in their Ten Most Wanted List.
