It’s an undeniably wrenching journey. Anyone who’s ever dealt with an addict can sympathize. An incredibly realistic journey through addiction. The cast is uniformly strong, all given moments to shine.
Heartbreaking and inspiring experience All were great but in particular Timothee and Steve are standouts. The beauty of this film is that the story is told from both father and son perspectives. The torment & despair of addiction powerfully & realistically explored within a middle-class family.
This story is quite heartwrenching and is a really good showcase of the drug problem in the US. It lets us in on the life of a drug user from his perspective so we can really understand why he made the choices he did. Best part was the acting - both Chalamet and Carell were marvelous.
