Synopsis

In Tang Dynasty, young Xuan Zang took the risk of being killed to get out of the country in pursuit of the truth of Buddha dharma. He encountered thousands of obstacles and disasters, but carried on with persistence toward the heart of the sacred place -- the Nalanda Temple. Not only did he bring a lot of Buddhist scriptures back to China from India, but also spread the civilization of the Tang Dynasty along the way.
