Tokyo MER stands for Tokyo Mobile Emergency Room, following the exploits of a team of medics who are dispatched to the scenes of dangerous accidents and disasters in a truck equipped with its own operating theatre. The medics would regularly put their own lives at risk in order to ensure that there are no casualties.
