Single mother Eela, who is also an aspiring playback singer, gives up her dreams to raise her only son Vivan. He is now a young man and doesn't want her life to revolve around him. But being the overprotective mother that she is, she decides to enrol in the same college as him so they can spend more time together, much to his dismay. The mother-son relationship becomes strained as Eela's plans backfire and Vivan is upset that she is invading his privacy.
