While running their Yorozuya office, Gintoki Sakata, Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura face money shortage. They have to take up a part-time job and they meet the Shogun everytime they go for it. At the same time, the Shinsegumi police is in crisis as it starts to divide among itself. The Yorozuya gang then has to protect the Shogun as the Shinsegumi's conflict connects to the conspiracy involving him.
